Prayer for the week

Merciful God, We come to you on behalf of a broken people; we recognize that we are failing to care for and love your creation. We are both frightened by the things which might hurt us, and greedy for the pleasures of the world. Help us, we pray, to relax into the peace provided by your arms, the security provided by your embrace. May we learn to find repose in you, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
